City of Poway ADA Policy
In accordance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the City of Poway does not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities in its services, programs or activities. Please note that the City may not be able to take action(s) that would fundamentally alter the nature of its services, programs or activities, or that would impose an undue financial or administrative burden.
 
Requests for Accommodation
The City will, upon request, provide appropriate aids and services for qualified individuals with disabilities so that they can participate in any City meeting, program, service or activity. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a program, service or activity of the City, should contact the ADA Coordinator as soon as possible but no later than two full working days before the scheduled event. Please note City Hall is closed every other Friday, please see City Calendar for business hours.
 
Individuals with disabilities may file a request for accommodation with the ADA Coordinator in regard to a specific City program, service or activity, or for a facility which is owned or operated by the City.
Grievance Procedures
The Grievance Procedure may be used by anyone who wishes to file a complaint alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of services, activities or programs by the City of Poway.
