Responsibilities
The Fire Prevention / Administration Division is responsible for budget development of the Safety Services Department - Fire Department and Contract Law Enforcement. Budget development, midyear review, and year-end evaluation are coordinated by this division. Other responsibilities include capital project management, apparatus procurement, and performance of specialized administrative projects.

Management
The Fire Prevention / Administration Division is managed by a Division Chief who also serves as the city's Fire Marshal. Additional staffing of the division includes a Senior Fire Inspector, Fire Inspector Intern, and contract Plan Review / Fire Inspector. The division receives clerical support from the Department's Senior Administrative Assistant. The Fire Prevention / Administration Division Chief also responds to emergency incidents performing incident management on a rotational schedule with other Division Chiefs.
