Entertain at City Events

Are you looking for a great venue to showcase your talented band or entertainment group? Look no further than the City of Poway's highly attended special events and it's beautiful facilities.

Application Process
The following is the application process if you are interested in becoming an entertainer at a City of Poway special event:
  1. Promotional materials for musical entertainment groups are only accepted during the months of December and January and must be postmarked no later than, or emailed by, January 31.
  2. Musical entertainment groups must submit promotional materials each year to be considered for City-sponsored special events that occur that year. Promotional materials will be kept on file for 1 calendar year only.
  3.  City staff will contact all entertainment groups that have been selected to participate in the Summer Concert in the Park Series. If your group has not been contacted by March 1, your group has not been chosen to participate in this year's Summer Concert in the Park Series.
  4.  City staff will also refer to promotional materials submitted between December and January to book entertainment at special events throughout the year. City staff will contact entertainment groups that have been selected for special event entertainment approximately 2 to 3 months prior to the event.
  5. Promotional materials may be submitted by mail or email (please type the name of your band and musical genre in the subject line). The mailing address is:

  6. Promotional materials must be submitted on time and include a biography, picture, music and/or video demo, and pricing options. Include various pricing options; performances can range from 1 to 2 hours.
  7. All entertainment groups selected to perform at a City-sponsored special event must be able to meet the following criteria:
  • Sign a service agreement with the City of Poway.
  • Be insured for general liability in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 with the City of Poway, endorsed as an additional insured or sign a waiver / release of liability.
  • Provide and set up sound equipment for your performance. (May vary depending on the event; however, the Summer Concert in the Park Series requires that all bands provide their own sound equipment.)
  • Arrive 1 hour before performance time to check in with City staff. (May vary depending on the event and venue.)
